While the Hive Learning Pod is independently operated, it aligns with the Creative Hub of Apopka’s mission to support homeschool families and alternative education. As part of our initiative to foster creative and flexible learning, we proudly provide space for co-ops, pods, and parent-led programs like the Hive to meet, learn, and grow in a welcoming, resource-rich environment.
Hive Learning Pod
2-day-a-week Learning Pod—an inspiring and supportive microschool community designed for families who value curriculum choice, individualized academic support, and meaningful social connection.
The Hive Learning Pod blends the freedom of virtual or homeschool curriculum with the structure and engagement of a nurturing in-person environment.
Led by an experienced Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator trained learning coach, our pod supports:
Academic support, using the curriculum your child is already enrolled in—virtual school, homeschool, or hybrid options welcome.
💡 Enrichment through hands-on STEAM, movement, and project-based learning.
🧠 Executive functioning & independence-building, supported through daily routines, goal-setting, and guided reflection.
🤝 Intentional SEL & community building, including morning mindfulness and peer shout-outs to celebrate kindness, growth, and courage.
Each day is thoughtfully designed to support your child’s academic goals while fostering curiosity, joy, and friendship. Whether your child needs a quiet place to complete online lessons, small-group instruction, or simply the chance to learn and grow in a supportive peer setting, this learning pod offers a warm and flexible solution.
